Simply Piano Day 2 Part 2
Simply Piano Day 2 Part 2 was a big step in my beginner piano journey.
In this video, I finished the Essentials 1 course in Simply Piano. After finishing it, I decided that before I move on to Essentials 2, I should go back and play through all the songs that Essentials 1 unlocked.
I am still learning piano from scratch, so I do not want to rush through the app just to say I finished lessons. I want to actually learn the notes, understand the timing, and build confidence at the keyboard.
Continuing Simply Piano Day 2 Part 2
Day 2 has already been a longer practice day than I expected.
In the first part of Day 2, I worked through Essentials 1 and kept building on the basics I started learning in Day 1.
In this part, I finished Essentials 1 and reached an important early milestone.
That felt good because I could see real progress. I still have a long way to go, but finishing a full beginner section gave me motivation to keep going.
Finishing Essentials 1
The biggest moment in Simply Piano Day 2 Part 2 was finishing Essentials 1.
Essentials 1 helped me practice basic notes, timing, rhythm, and beginner piano patterns. It also forced me to focus because I had to watch the notes, find the right keys, and stay on beat at the same time.
That sounds simple, but as a complete beginner, it takes a lot of concentration.
Sometimes I hit the wrong note. Sometimes I lost the timing. Sometimes I had to slow down and repeat parts.
But I kept going, and I finished the course.
Why I Am Not Starting Essentials 2 Right Away
After finishing Essentials 1, I mentioned that I do not want to jump straight into Essentials 2 yet.
Instead, my plan is to go through all the songs that unlocked from Essentials 1 first.
That feels like the smarter next step.
If I move too fast, I might unlock more lessons without actually getting comfortable with what I already learned.
Piano takes repetition. It takes patience. It also takes time for your hands and brain to work together.
So before I start Essentials 2, I want to use the unlocked Essentials 1 songs as extra practice.
My Plan for the Unlocked Essentials 1 Songs
The unlocked songs will give me a better way to review what I learned in Essentials 1.
Instead of only completing the course and moving forward, I want to test myself with the songs connected to that level.
That should help me practice note recognition, rhythm, timing, and confidence.
I am not counting those songs as completed in this video.
I am only saying that they are the next step before Essentials 2.
That way, the progress stays honest and clear.
Learning Piano From Scratch Takes Patience
This video reminded me that learning piano from scratch takes more patience than I expected.
Even beginner lessons can feel challenging when everything is new.
I have to think about where my hands go, which notes are coming next, and how to stay on rhythm.
That makes the process slow, but it also makes each small win feel important.
Finishing Essentials 1 may not sound huge to someone who already plays piano, but for a complete beginner, it feels like progress.
What I Learned From Essentials 1
Essentials 1 taught me that the basics matter.
Before I try harder lessons, I need to get more comfortable with the foundation.
I need to recognize notes faster. I need to keep better timing. I also need to relax more when I play, because overthinking makes everything harder.
The more I practice, the more natural it should start to feel.
That is why I want to play through the unlocked Essentials 1 songs before moving forward.
Is Simply Piano Helping Me Learn?
So far, Simply Piano has helped me stay on track.
The app gives me a clear path to follow, and it gives feedback while I play. That helps me notice mistakes and keep practicing.
For a complete beginner, that structure makes the learning process feel less overwhelming.
I still need repetition outside of just finishing lessons, but Simply Piano gives me a good starting point.
My Goal Before Essentials 2
My next goal is simple.
Before I start Essentials 2, I want to play through all the songs that Essentials 1 unlocked.
That will help me review the skills I just learned and see how comfortable I really feel.
I do not want to rush the journey.
I want to build a strong foundation and document the real process as I go.
Final Thoughts on Simply Piano Day 2 Part 2
Simply Piano Day 2 Part 2 was about finishing Essentials 1 and setting up the next step.
I completed the course, but I am not moving into Essentials 2 right away.
First, I want to go through the unlocked Essentials 1 songs and use them as practice.
That feels like the best way to keep learning without rushing.
I still make mistakes. I still move slowly. I still have to think about every note.
But that is exactly why I am documenting this journey.
This series is about learning piano from scratch, one step at a time.
Day 2 Part 2 is complete.
Next, I will work through the unlocked Essentials 1 songs before moving on to Essentials 2.
